Rockport is held in a special place in our client’s heart, so when she decided to purchase a second home here, we were happy to help her turn an old space into a warm and relaxing cottage for her to reminisce of old memories and create new ones. The existing space was long-standing and unmaintained. We faced several challenges with the lack of functionality of the existing layout and structural integrity of the building. By pairing up with a proficient construction company, we were able to re-level the floor of the home and open up the space. Allowing the large structural beams to be a showpiece, and distressed whitewashed wood to cover the majority of the interior, we were able to create a cozy space filled with natural light. Custom touches such as the live-edge kitchen shelves make the space one of a kind.
